What exists today

Pay per crawl is signalling only. AgentGate answers 402 Payment Required with crawler-price, accepts a signed crawler-exact-price or crawler-max-price offer, answers crawler-charged, and records each accepted payment in the decision log with the label agentgate:agent:payment:accepted and a signed receipt. The site operator settles with each agent operator out of band, from that log.

What is planned

Settlement inside AgentGate: turning accepted offers into amounts owed per agent, and reconciling them with a payment provider. It depends on the usage ledger and billing work on the roadmap, and no design has been agreed yet. Until then, nothing on this page is available.
